  Jim Biddle
Founder/Education Director

Jim Biddle is an AIDS activist and a STD/HIV prevention educator, who has been lecturing to health care professionals, corporations, high school and college students for over 10 years. According to Tony Morelli, Volunteer Specialist for ActionAIDS, Inc., Jim’s “intimate knowledge of the medical and physiological aspects of HIV” makes him more approachable and enables him to modify his presentation to engage a variety of audiences and stimulate conversation. A combination of wit, empathy, and personal experience help Jim convey this delicate but critical material. Jim’s unique lectures present relevant, up-to-date facts, and some harsh realities, with humor. This allows Jim to reach participants in an emotional way; he opens his life to the listener and shares his own personal experiences. Drexel University has voted Jim “Best Guest Speaker” for four years in a row. Jim’s goal is to educate others on the physical and emotional toll of living with and caring for someone with AIDS.

Before becoming a lecturer and activist, Jim was a successful entrepreneur who managed and owned restaurants on both coasts. He later went on to co-create Occupational Hearing Services, a national medical marketing and public relations firm, and Sensory Systems, a national hearing aid distribution company.

Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Jim Biddle currently lives in Media, PA. For more than a decade he has been an active volunteer of the ActionAIDS buddy training team and the senior member of their Speakers Bureau. ActionAIDS is the Philadelphia region’s largest and oldest AIDS service organization. Jim advocates on behalf of others living with HIV/AIDS and has been on the forefront of HIV/AIDS education since 1981.
